The Stressless David is a versatile recliner chair with a lot of character! Soft, yet neat, with a distinctive blind-stitch detail to the backrest that hints to traditional origami techniques. The combination of Flexo-springs, ComfortZones™ and multiple layers of soft foam is your guarantee for the ultimate comfort experience. The design of the David lends itself to both modern homes and more traditional living spaces. PLEASE NOTE: The chair and footstool can be sold separately, or together!


All Stressless Recliner Chairs come with a wealth of options to maximise your comfort. Let us walk you through what is available to you:


  • Choose from 5 base-styles!
    1. Classic Base: The traditional Stressless design, with a stable and rotating bottom ring and elegant wooden uprights. 
    2. Signature Base: The development from the Classic Base above, Signature spins more freely and also rocks slightly. It is also comes with wider and more angles armrests
    3. Cross Base: The same function and sit as the Signature Base above, but with a different metal design to the bottom
    4. Leg and Back Power: A powered backrest and footrest conforms to the same movement as the Classic Base. Operated by buttons beneath an armrest, the footrest adjusts for both height and reach
    5. Office Base: Why not be as comfortable at your desk as you are in your living room? All Stressless Office chairs adjust for height and also recline.


  • Choose from 3 sizes: Small Medium and Large. Not everyone is the same size, so why should one chair size fit all? The larger the size, the wider the seat becomes, and the taller the backrest. This creates the facility for a his-and-hers chair in the same room!


  • Choose from leather or fabric. Stressless have multiple ranges of leather and fabric, with hundreds of colours available across all grades! Never has it been easier to find that colour scheme that ideally suits your home and your design preferences. Leathers range from tougher more corrected hides, to a beautifully soft and almost aniline leather. Meanwhile, fabrics come in several guises too, from velvets, to herringbones, all the way to woollen based materials


  • Choose your wood colour. All Stressless chairs and footstools use beechwood in the base and arm structure, in virtue of its strength and malleability. This beechwood can, however, be stained to many different shades, or simply painted black. Depending upon your décor and covering choice, you can choose a wood colour that best suits your needs.


  • Choose from Chrome or Black metal. Where applicable, you can opt to have a black painted metal on display on the base, or a brushed chrome instead. Sometimes your choice of chair colour can make this decision for you, or the nature of your room can also guide your choice.
